1. Official Game Rules

J Square Studio SRL, commercially named VEX (hereafter referred to as ‘VEX’, ‘VEX Solution’, ‘J Square Studio’) welcomes you to VEX-Esports.com.
These Official Game Rules govern the rules for contest related play of certain VEX games that are used for VEX Esports prizes contest (hereafter referred to as “Contest(s)”) managed or operated by VEX or any of its affiliated or related companies (including, but not limited to any VEX Distributor, any VEX platform owner) (collectively, “Organizer” or “We”).

In order to participate as a player and/or member of a team (“Team”) in any contest we organize you are required to read, understand and approve the Official Game Rules, the Contest Rules and the Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. We may terminate your right, Contests eligibility, prizes eligibility and licence to access the VEX Services, VEX Sites and/or your VEX Account if you violate or breach the Official Game Rules, the Contest Rules or the Terms of Use, or if there is an illegal, fraudulent or improper use of your VEX Account.

2. VEX ADVENTURE GAMES

During a game, you’ll be awarded points depending on what you do. Below, you can find out how those points are awarded for each VEX Adventure game.

2.1. MISSION Z, RUSH Z & DARK Z

    • 100 points for killing a “Melee Zombie
    • 300 points for killing a “Ranged Zombie
    • 400 points for killing a “Tank Zombie
    • 100 bonus points for each headshot (in addition to the points awarded for a kill)
    • 5.000 bonus points for killing the final boss (specific to Mission Z)
    • – 5.000 points for each death
    • up to 20.000 bonus points depending on your accuracy (100% = 20.000 points down to a minimum of no point if 0% accuracy)

2.2. TEMPLE QUEST & TEMPLE PARTY

    • 100 points for each “Gem
    • Air mini-game: you get 10 gems per stone monolyth hit (randomly distributed to each players)
    • Lava mini-game: up to 100 gems will spawn at the end of the mini-game depending on the remaining gems inside the pillar
      • Each ball that touches the pillar will reduce its number of available gems down to a minimum of 10 gems
      • If a “Normal Ball” hits the pillar, it loses 1 gem
      • If a “Speed Ball” hits the pillar, it loses 2 gems
      • If a “Shield Ball” hits the pillar, it loses 3 gems
    • You lose up to 10 “Gems” when you die. Half of those gems will be dropped on the ground and can be picked up again.

Your final score is decided at the end of the game depending on the number of gems you have (1 gem = 100 points)

2.3. LUNARSCAPE: BREAKDOWN & LUNARSCAPE: EXPRESS

The game is separated into two phases: first the puzzle phase then the boss phase. During the puzzle phase, every player is awarded the same amount of points for these actions:

    • 100 points for activating the lobby hand pod
    • 100 points for crossing through the lobby portal
    • 300 points for activating the elevator hand pod
    • 600 points for pressing all the buttons in the air vent chamber
    • 600 points for activating the keypad in the air vent chamber
    • 1000 points for finishing the other puzzle rooms (4 rooms)
    • 1000 points for crossing the final portal after the boss

During the boss phase, the points are calculated individually for each player. This phase will be longer the faster you’ve been able to finish the puzzle phase.

    • There are 2 types of buttons awarding points: “Normal Button” (blue hand) and “Bonus Button” (yellow star)
    • The combo score reflects the number of buttons pressed consecutively without pressing a “Bad Button” (red cross)
    • Each button pressed will award you points depending on your current combo score:

    • -200 points for each death

The final score for each player will be the sum of the Puzzle Phase points + the Boss Phase points.

2.4. MISSION Z II, Chapters 1 & 2

    • 100 points for killing a Zombie
    • 100 bonus points for each headshot (in addition to the points awarded for a kill)
    • 20 points for each bullet hit on the boss (specific to Mission Z II & Chapter 2)
    • 100 points for hitting the boss’ weak spot while overcharged (specific to Mission Z II & Chapter 2)
    • 2.000 bonus points for killing the final boss (specific to Mission Z II & Chapter 2)
    • 5.000 bonus points for finishing the game
    • – 500 points for each death (can’t drop below 0 points)
    • up to 20.000 bonus points depending on your accuracy (100% = 20.000 points down to a minimum of no point if 0% accuracy)

2.5. KRAKEN ISLAND : CAPTAIN’S CURSE, Chapters 1 & 2

    • 100 points for killing a Skeleton
    • 100 bonus points for each headshot (in addition to the points awarded for a kill)
    • 5.000 bonus points for killing the final boss (specific to Kraken Island & Chapter 2)
    • – 500 points for each death (can’t drop below 0 points)
    • up to 20.000 bonus points depending on your accuracy (100% = 20.000 points down to a minimum of no point if 0% accuracy)

3. VEX ARENA GAMES

During a game, you’ll be awarded points depending on how you play. Below, you can find out how those points are awarded for each VEX Arena game.

3.1. CYBERCLASH

In Cyberclash, your final score is normalized depending on your session’s duration. This normalized score is called the E-Score and it is calculated following this formula: E-Score = Final Score * 60 * 100 / Duration of a game (in seconds)

3.1.1 Deathmatch & Archery

    • 100 points for killing an opponent
    • 50 bonus points for killing an opponent with a headshot (on top of the kill points)
    • -10 points for dying (can’t fall under 0 points)

3.1.2 Battle Royale

    • 100 points for killing an opponent
    • 50 bonus points for killing an opponent with a headshot (on top of the kill points)
    • -10 points for dying (can’t fall under 0 points)
    • You get bonus points at the end of each round depending on your placement

3.2. DEATH SQUAD

In Death Squad, your final score is normalized depending on your session’s duration, the number of players, or both. This normalized score is called the E-Score and it is calculated following this formula:

  • If normalizing by duration: E-Score = Final Score * 60 * 100 / Duration of a game (in seconds)
  • If normalizing by number of players: E-Score = Final Score * 100 / Number of players
  • If normalizing by duration and number of players: E-Score = Final Score * 60 * 100 / Number of players / Duration (in seconds)

3.2.1 Arcade

In Arcade mode, the game ends when your allotted time is over. You can die as many times as you’d like and the respawn timer will stay at 15 seconds.

    • 100 points for killing a zombie
    • 50 bonus points for killing a zombie with a headshot (on top of the kill points)
    • -10 points for dying (can’t drop below 0 points)

3.2.1 Survival

In Survival mode, the game ends if all the players are dead at the same time, you will be sent to the lobby to try again. When you die you have to wait 15 seconds before you respawn. For each of your consecutive deaths during the same wave, your respawn timer will add 15 seconds (ie. 30s for your second death, 45s for your third, etc.).

    • 100 points for killing a zombie
    • 50 bonus points for killing a zombie with a headshot (on top of the kill points)
    • -10 points for dying (can’t drop below 0 points)

3.3. KITCHEN PANIC!

In Kitchen Panic!, each action you perform during the preparation of a dish can grant you points.

    • 50 points for grabbing an ingredient from a fridge.
    • 100 points for cutting/chopping an ingredient.
    • 200 points for cooking a meat patty.
    • 25 points for adding an ingredient to a plate.
    • 100 points for placing a dish on the serving hatch.
    • You don’t lose points for dying but you’ll drop anything you had in your hands.

Those points will only be granted if the dish was successfully served. This means that the dish must be valid (correct ingredients from the recipe) and served on time.

If a dish is prepared by multiple people, each person will receive points based on the action(s) they’ve performed for that specific dish.

3.4. KRAKEN ISLAND SERIES

In Kraken Island, your final score is normalized depending on your session’s duration, the number of players, or both. This normalized score is called the E-Score and it is calculated following this formula:

  • If normalizing by duration: E-Score = Final Score * 60 * 100 / Duration of a game (in seconds)
  • If normalizing by number of players: E-Score = Final Score * 100 / Number of players
  • If normalizing by duration and number of players: E-Score = Final Score * 60 * 100 / Number of players / Duration (in seconds)

3.4.1 Invasion & Infinite

In Invasion, the game ends when your allotted time is over. You can die as many times as you’d like and the respawn timer will stay the same.
In Infinite, the game ends if all the players are dead at the same time, they will be then sent to the lobby to try again. When you die you have to wait 15 seconds before you respawn.     • 100 points for killing a skeleton
    • 100 bonus points for killing a skeleton with a headshot (on top of the kill points)
    • -500 points for dying (can’t drop below 0 points)

3.4.2 Treasure Hunt & Infinite Treasure

In Treasure Hunt, on top of the points gained from killing skeletons (see above) you can capture chests with gold. The player who has captured a chest will gain 10 coins per second. Each coin grants 5 points. You can die as many times as you’d like and the respawn timer will stay the same.
In Infinite Treasure, the game ends if all the players are dead at the same time, they will be then sent to the lobby to try again. When you die you have to wait 15 seconds before you respawn. For each of your consecutive deaths during the same wave, your respawn timer will add 15 seconds (ie. 30s for your second death, 45s for your third, etc.).

4. AMENDMENTS AND CHANGES:

VEX may at any time change or modify these terms and conditions applicable to your use of the Services, or any part thereof, or to impose new conditions, including, but not limited to, adding fees and charges for use. Such changes, modifications, additions or deletions will be effective immediately upon notice thereof, which may be given by means including, but not limited to, posting on the Website, or by electronic or conventional mail, or by any other means by which you obtain notice thereof. Any use of the Services by you after such notice will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of such changes, modifications, additions or deletions. If any modification, change, addition or change to these terms and conditions is not acceptable to you, your only recourse is to terminate this Agreement and refrain from using and accessing the Services. VEX may at any time change or discontinue any aspect or feature of the Services, including, but not limited to, content, hours of availability, and equipment needed for access or use.
